We had a great stay! View of ocean is beautiful. The layout of bedrooms was perfect for 6 of us with bunkbed for kids. Location is great to explore Maui easily. Pool is small and unheated which made it harder to utilize because we had a bit cooler weather but would be fine in warmer weather. Host checked in multiple times to make sure we were happy.
This was a great property and centrally located, the only issue we had was there was not many places to eat at in this area, you had to drive to Kihei. It had great views and comfortable beds.
Loved this property a lot. It was quiet. We had a ground unit with entrance to the pool right outside our patio area. And beyond the pool was the beautiful ocean and mountains.

Humpbacks fill Māʻalaea Bay roughly December through April, peaking January to March — in season it's common to watch breaches straight from the lanai, and the harbor's whale-watch boats run all winter if you want to get closer.
Afternoons often are — the isthmus funnels the trade winds across the bay, which is why mornings are the calm window for snorkeling and paddling. Lanais on the water still get plenty of warm sunny hours; it's the trade-off for the view.
